The first and the largest business school in the Volga-Vyatka Region has
been set up. Its efficient work has given opportunities for re-training for
more than 5000 executives and experts of new formation throughout the period of
1988-1999. The School still functions as the main co-founder of Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management and
NIMB, the first independent institution of higher learning in the region was
established in 1992. Currently it is a renowned institution which gained sound
reputation and takes the sixth place among the best independent colleges in
Over 11 000 bachelors and specialists have been awarded degrees. In 2009 the
Book of NIMB graduates was first published.
More than 23 000 top executives and specialists coached at the extension
courses represent the elite of senior management of the region's businesses.
400 members of highly-qualified, conscientious and responsive staff have
been recruited. Experts in their respective fields, our 147 faculty members, 67
% of whom hold advanced degrees from prestigious universities throughout the
country, first and foremost skilled in
the art of teaching.
We managed to elaborate and implement a multimedia management technology on
the basis of electronic textbooks, Internet and four multimedia classrooms for
90 places. NIMB for the first time in Russia's higher economic education
practice has provided the students with electronic textbooks and computer tests
in all the branches of learning.
The Institute has developed an academic school in social-economic systems
management acknowledged by Russian Academy of Sciences and Russian Academy of
Education. Over the period of 2002-2007 in the Dissertation Board operating in the
Institute 9 doctoral and 62 candidate scientific degrees have been defended.
Becoming the leader in the sector of private education in the Nizhny
Novgorod Oblast, as well as the major elite higher economic education authority
on MBA programs and standards.
Achieving consistent growth in R&D activities of the Institute's subject
departments and research teams, effective work of the Business Incubator and in
rendering practical assistance to the city's entrepreneurs and NIMB's graduates.
